so ever since my friend died i have fallen off the wagon completely.
I feel sooo flat, gluggy, heavy, my skin is terrible, im all puffy under my chin from milk products. yuck. and my fitness has decreased, my body feels all tight and not light and fit like it did a few wks ago. and ive gained 1.5kg.
I need to do something to get myself back being good, or ill do further damage. 11 days till the big event and i have to reverse the damage and be feeling healthy by then! helllppppp
emotionally Im ok, im dealing with it. I just some kick start for my diet and exercise again. Can anyone suggest anything? like a 3 day detox/cleanse? or something like that which will give me strict guidelines to stick to?

I know what you mean. For me my mental trick was thinking, and saying out loud to myself: "I am determined to have a good day today until 10am." Saying this about every 15-30 minutes from the time I woke up until 10 am drove my mind towards postive thoughts and happy things, making me happier and wanting to move and "be good". And by 10am, your body is fully awake and motivated (if you're working) and already on the positive track and it wants to stay on that track.
As far as a detox is concerned, go unprocessed for 3-7 days. That means, no processed foods. Whole fruits, veggies, and meat. Bread/noodles if you make them. If you can't pronounce the words in the food, you shouldn't eat it. Oh, and water. Water water water.
Feel better beautiful.

unprocessed sounds like a good idea. to keep things simple and not give you reason to cheat maybe eat the same meals for three days, make sure they're a healthy balance and repeat the same breakfast lunch and supper.

Thanks for the replies.
i love this idea. espcecially cause at the moment i feel 'GLUGGY' and this would be a real health cleanse. I have a wedding on saturday back home in the country so this will only be a full three days of non-processed foods.
Yep im just going to go the exact same meals for each of the 3 days. I actually work best when i have strict guidelines and this would be a good challenge. Hopefully this will help me snap out of the constant cycle of binging thats occured within the last week.

Make sure with the tea that you're drinking tons of water as Imdoc said, since tea can be a diuretic. Good luck!! I've been there with the loss of friends.. It's a terrible thing, but you can over come it!

Yeah thats right, im making a concious effort to drink more water. My friend is as well, so we are reminding each other. Yeah its a terrible thing isnt it. Im only 23 and this is my third friend my age to die, (all seperate accidents). Makes you realise how short life is and how important it is to make the most of the time you've got!
one of the things ive always wanted to achieve is weight loss because ive always been very overweight. reaching my goal weight is soo important to me. i really want to be a healthier happier person to get my quality of life.

omg, that is so sad to have lost people your age. yes you do want to make the most of your time. but i know there has to be a balance between driving yourself mad with working out to the point of soreness and exhaustion everyday and denying yourself yummy food or a chance to relax with a margarita once in a while.
