100 lbs down at this morning's weigh-in. I'm finally on the down-side to oneder-land! ~grin~ yipppppeeeeee!

Really, really hoping that I'll find I do not need to ask for the seatbelt extender for the flight on Thursday. Keeping fingers crossed. LOL

Great job! You're a huge inspiration Smile Hope your flight Thursday goes well.

@Leslie P, sjcoray and lisakp71 - thanks!! It is a milestone, for sure. I keep telling myself to remember how good this feels and never again get back to that horrible and uncomfortable weight.

I am so looking forward to the little mini vacation to visit my sister and her family. And I remember a year ago, planning but completely dreading the trip to D.C. in August '11. (Ended up canceling that, which is why I have a credit to use up before the end of March this year.)

Told myself then, "Okay - you've got 5 months to lose enough to hopefully fit semi-comfortably in that airline seat..." Never happened. Not a pound gone. So to be honest, I was a little relieved that I didn't have to sit in that seat last year.

A different story now. :- ) Joyce

Good news/bad news :- ) No extender needed on the first segment flight, but did need it on the second one. So, since I know I didn't suddenly gain a bunch of weight going from one plane to the next, just means that the "standard length" seems to be different between planes.

Oh, well, was a nice flight out and looks like good weather the whole time I'm here. Joyce

Good weather is a great time to get outside and keep walking Smile

You're doing so awesome - I'd definitely focus more on the good news than the bad news.

Hi all - had a wonderful time but it is good to be home.

And the great news is...drum roll, please...no extender was needed for either flight back. Yay!

I was even in an exit row - more leg room - so nice - but you can't be seated there if you need a seatbelt extender.

And yup - got in over 10k steps a day, except one day. But that one was 9500+, so did fairly well with the walking. :- )

Thanks Brclarke!

I'm excited because today is the start of "transition" which is where I will slowly add real food back into my diet and reduce the amount of "product" each day - this process should take about eight weeks.

Ultimately, this will get me to about 1800 cals/day, where I will stay until reaching goal. Then, learning how to maintain will be the next hurdle.

I'm thinking about getting an electric food steamer - anyone have any tips or advice? Thanks, Joyce

Congratulations! Enjoy your accomplishment, not only for the 100 lbs lost, but also for the personal commitment and sacrifice it has taken to get there. It takes super human powers to be a successful weight controller.

Thanks, ddogger, although I don't know about the "super human powers" part (I guess my cape and mask are still in the mail ~grin~) but what I have learned - hope I've learned this time around - is that I just have to decide what is important to me.

To continue to get healthy or eat that "fill in the blank" that provides a momentary satisfaction...And not to say I can never ever have that item again - but eat it if it fits into the plan. If it doesn't fit that day - leave it alone and plan for it on a different day.

It's not like it will never be available again.
