So i'm on week 2 of induction, and my sweet tooth is getting the best of me... anyone have any good ideas on what to eat, or not eat, to help me cure it? i've tried whipping heavy cream and adding it top off my sf jello, or adding a little unsweetened cocoa powder and a little slenda to the whipped cream, which, by the way, is incredible! but i just want to try and keep it under control. i love this diet, but i need help!!!

try eating something sour or salty. I usually go for pickles.

Some of my favourites are in the Atkins recipes, I find any of the lemon recipes that are good for induction, helped my sweet craving. I did try the Atkins bars, but even the ones made for phase 1 made me plateau, so use them carefully.

i've found sweetness leads to more sweetness, at least in my case. when I have a diet soda, albeit 0 calories, it leaves me craving more sweets. When I eliminated diet soda from what I drink, I almost immediately stopped craving sweets. counting calories definitely helps a lot, too. when you can see how much you've consumed, it helps you restrict yourself from going overboard.

also, try to fill up on actual foods before you start craving the sweets.

it's all about getting into the habit.

Most time you crave for sugar, you are actually craving for something that will make you feel better. Try smelling something nice, like essential oils, or apply some nice hand cream. Drinking hot flavorful tea (I do not add any sugar) makes me feel satisfied too. Buy a couple of boxes of different flavors, splurge a little bit on really good tea. It is 0 calories, good for your health, and makes you feel special when you drink it.

wow, thanks to everyone for all the great advice! definitely gonna try the pickles, lemon and tea. i love flavored green tea, i actually brew some every morning, refridgerate and drink it throughout the day, but maybe some other flavors to help me relax in the evening would be nice too Smile
