I recently joined a group here to learn more, but was curious if there are any Atkins users who use this workout program. I know there is a nutritional guide for P90X, but I like being on Atkins and wondered. Also curious how you like the workout program.

Olivia, I have never been on Atkins however, my brother is a personal trainer, gym owner, and has a degree in exercise science/nutrition and he does NOT recommend the Atkins diet for anyone as it messes with your blood sugar insulin levels and can cause major damage and once you stop the 'diet' you most likely gain it all back and then some. As far as P90X is concerned, it is a great workout program that provides results as long as you follow the whole program including using the nutritional guide. The fact that this is an intense workout program, you must fuel your body with the right foods to get your desired results. Feel free to connect with me and we keep you on track.

Dr. Atkins made great contributions to nutrition. I'd just point out the fact that it's not possible to have type II diabetes without carbohydrate consumption, as well as the pre-diabetic metabolic syndrome.

Sorry I'm not on P90X, but I have many friends that are Smile

Have you found the exercise Brazil butt lift? I would like to gain tone but not build heavy, thick looking legs. Is this possible? Also need suggestions for upper body with the same philosophy.
