There are a lot of diets out there. Of course we have to find the one that works for us, right? I recently watched a documentary called "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead". There is nothing to buy. No calories to count. No pills to take. There is a ton of support on the website. It is based on sound nutrition. It is about getting healthy, and weight loss is a benefit, not the goal. After all, we are what we eat. Literally. No gimmicks. I have lost 18 lbs since mid December, and I am not hungry or suffering. I feel the best I've felt in at least 7 years. You can rent the video from the library. I think you'll be pleased. Best of luck to you.
Other good documentaries:
Forks Over Knives
Ingredients
Food, Inc.
King Corn
The Gerson Miracle
Food Matters

Where is "Fat Head" in your list? That is a great documentary that blows up they myth that dietary fat is unhealthy.

I'm going to have to check some of these out. Don't ya just love the library? They are a really good resource.
I have seen so much more in mainstream media these days that is getting the word out that we need fat and lowfat is not the way to go. This is good news. I hope people listen. I came across a book called "Women Need Fat" the other day. Haven't looked into it, but I'm thinking, so do men.

Netflix streaming is a great place to catch a lot of these- love all the doucmentaries you can stream on any number of subjects. Just added King Corn to my queue a few minutes ago, actually. I think Food Matters and Food Inc are also available there and it's also where I saw Fat Head.

I don't subscribe to the streaming but I do subscribe to the Netflix DVD rentals and they have Fat Head and King Corn. Didn't check any of the others.
