One of the first things I do each morning is weigh. I have always felt it necessary to weigh every day whether dieting or not. Plus, when I am following the program 100%, I look forward to seeing the results on the scale each morning. Even though not each day is a documented loss and we all know how weight fluctuates, it is still something I look forward to each morning. I spend a lot of time each day planning my weight loss strategies and time is spent exercising 5 days a week. I am constantly researching motivational tips and other strategies that can help to keep me focus on my goals. So, my question is once the goals have been reached and exercise is not needed as much what will be your next life challenge? Some of my research shows that some people never achieve their goals because of skeletons, which can cause you to self-sabotage your choices. Weight loss does not equal happiness, so I recommend if there are any skeletons out there to address them now, so you can achieve your goals. I will no longer be a victim to many things. 2012 is the Year, we will no longer be a victim to fat!! What will be your next challenge besides maintaining your weight loss.

That's a wonderful question, since so much of my attention has been on losing down to goal weight, and right now trying to maintain it, I guess I need to set a goal other than "me." Any suggestions?

As for the skeletons... that's a part of our flawed human nature - everyone makes mistakes, big ones, and has to live with decisions they wish they had never made! Life's circumstances sometimes put us in the position where choices are difficult and there aren't any perfect answers. Challenges to test our mettle!

It's a good question. I always tell people that you need to find your DEEP motivation. "Being thin" or "losing weight" is not in itself motivation. You need to find out what it is you want to achieve from losing weight, or what it is that MADE you lose weight.
Many times we self-medicate with food. If that's the case, then we need to find out what the reason for the self-medication is - to get rid of it. Are we too busy? Are we sad? Are we scared? There is almost always SOMETHING that - if we look deep enough - is the reason for our weight gain.
