Recently, mine was shopping in a regular store for the first time in ages. I bought a pair of jeans with a BUTTON and ZIPPER not ELASTIC!

I have two feel good moments.....
1. I found out that I needed a new winter coat because the one I haven't been able to waer in 6 years is now way too big.
2. I was brave enough to wear a skirt to work for the first time ever, I got so many compliments it was ridicules! Now I am shopping for more…

Aren't the compliments great!? It almost gets embarassing. At first, co-workers and friends would say how great I was looking and now they are like, in disbelief of how much weight I have lost. I'm not sure weather to be flattered or flustered!

Buying a suit last weekend. A proper suit, vest and all, for the first time in my life.

Levi's 501, size 30-32, bought in NY in 1998. Not worn any more since 2005. Put them back on this weekend.

Kingkeld, I want to see a pic of you looking sharp in your new suit!
I don't have a single defining moment so much as a consistent pattern of people making references to indicate that when they see me, they don't see a fat person. As someone who has been overweight their WHOLE life, it's crazy to think that that's not what people see anymore and will definitely take some getting used to.

I'm hoping for concert pictures taken Friday. Let's see what happens. I'll make sure to post something.

Mine was yesterday while out shopping with my 23 yr old daughter. We both have been through alot and I just thought to myself "She's not just my daughter...she's such a good friend to me!"

Size 6 jeans. Smaller than my dear sister's size 8. She's mad as a wet hen!

Mary Saa, be flattered, not flustered. Take the feel good compliments and smile. They are well earned.
Kingkeld, 2 things to say to you.
1. I love these topics too.
2. I second (or 3rd) the request of a picture with the full suit.
My moment was this weekend when my dad told me that my jeans were too big for me. I had on my skinny jeans that I just got back into a couple month or so ago! Now they are too big. Yeah for me, bad for my wallet, but I'll happily take it.

My moment was this past weekend.
I was searching in my closet for something dressy to wear to work's holiday party. I came across a nice jacket that I was not able to wear for some time because it was too small (but I kept it because it is very pretty).
I tried the jacket on, saw that it was too big now and said - oh, too bad, it's too big now...
Then I went, hang on!
That's good! It's too big now!

1) Our cafeteria at work has 2 types of chairs at the tables--same except that some have metal side/arm rests. I no longer have to sit in the ones without the armrests!!
2) Pants are falling off--I shopped yesterday & bought 2 pr pants that are not 1, but 2 sizes smaller than the ones I've been wearing.
3) I can climb the stairs without holding on to the rail, & without having to pause for breath.

Oh my! I almost cried reading these posts. Ya'll are all such an inspiration to me. We can do this!
Todays moment?
I was walking out of the mall tonight (where I was gift-wrapping for a fund raiser) and passed a car of an acquantance. She told me she thought I was a teenager walking out of the store and she didn't recognize me at all! It was dark, but still!
I would love to see a picture of your new suit, King! If I can figure out how to get pictures on here, I'll try to post some before and "as I'm going" pics.
Dukesmom - I went shopping this past weekend with my 19 year old daughter and think the same. She is my best friend. We had such a great time together.
Getting smaller sizes has to be the second best thing about losing weight. The first is getting healthy!

It's not weight related...
But my Feel Good moment was when I received the result of my chartered accountant final exam... I passed ! I was so happy and it gave me such an energy and motivation boost !
What can be qualified as one of the hardest professional exam is now behind me and I just can't stop to smile and think that if I managed to to that, I can reach other goals as well
It's awesome to read everyone's accomplishments ! I just love this thread!

Devilliah - CONGRATS!!!!! I can't even imagine how hard it must be to pass an accountant final. I could barely, well actually I dropped out, of Accounting 101! I tried 3 times to take accounting and just could not get past the 7th chapter. So, wow! Awesome job!

I have been grossly obese for like 11 years. I get random compliments from people I knew all the time but the feel god moment that springs to mind is.
I was walking out of Petsmart with my brother after buying some dog treats. We passed this woman. I thought she was attractive but I didn't give it another thought. My brother tells me, "Dude, she just checked you out!"
That was a feel good moment that I will never forget.
BTW, I look like I am 50 lbs lighter than I actually am so it wasn't a chubby chaser.
