I am on WW and FS. Since WW changed their points value and system in general I have plateaued and even gained weight. Very discouraged!! Is it better to stick with just Fat Secret and delete Weight Watchers altogether??

Have you been to a meeting to hear about the changes that went into effect yesterday? My default DPT (Daily Points Target) is now 26. I think my weight loss will be better now.

Depends on what WW is doing for you... Are you going to meetings - that is a good support network. If you have all the written materials, then you should be able to follow the plan and still use FS for keeping calories down, general review of where your calories are coming from, and the support from other dieters.

If you are paying for WW, you have to consider if you want to keep paying or what happens if you stop and you decide to go back - do you have to backpay?

WW works, you don't HAVE to eat every point, Yes, I like the changes a lot more flexible. I cannot eat my DP and all of my weeklies and lose. I don't even track activity as I cannot use them and lose. Yes I do think FS even though a little time consuming is worth the effort as it lets you know in calories how many points they are, and it changes with the food choices you make. If you are not losing reduce your points for a while.

I, too, am doing both WW and FS. I learned from my WW leader that eating a few extra servings of lean protein can kickstart the weight loss again. Not sure if this is true, but I will give it a shot when I plateau.

That is a good tip! Good for you! Positive thinking! I have also heard some people that crave a lot of sugar, need to eat more protein. They do not get enough protein in their diets, that use to be me! Though, I still just love sugar, some times! And my chocolate! Good luck to you, and to everybody!

I was thinking about joining WW. I tried it and failed in the past (along with every other diet), so since I'm feeling more motivated I figured I'd look at the WW posts for some feedback. I joined Overeaters Anonymous about a month ago and I love it! Not only is it free, the support is awesome, I think it's benefits outweigh WW b/c people are there only to support each other and there is no 'coach' pressuring me and making me feel like a failure if my weigh-ins don't go well. The program is pure positive, spiritual, and emphasizes self-love. THe people accept me for who I am, no matter what my weight, and that means alot.

I joined WW in July. My weight loss has been slow but I love the idea of the plan. So far I have lost 22 pounds. My short term goal is to lose 18 pounds. By the way the slow loss is not from the plan but when I finally got serious, I started losing the weight. I hope this new year will bring even better results
