Hey hey my name is jennifer and I am glad I found this site. I am so ready to change the way I view myself. I am 35 years old and been struggling with my weight for a whil om 5 9 and weight 209lbs my goal is 135. I have lost weight before about 2 or 3 years ago and I was on top of the world. I use to be very active at one point but in the last 2 years I have withdrawn from family and friends.

Hi Jennifer and welcome to FS. There are alot of supportive people on here that will not judge you but encourage you on your weight loss journey. Just remember to reach out and ask for help when you need it. My other suggestion is to journal your thoughts and feelings as you proceed down the healthy you path... Good luck and take care of yourself.

Hi, Jennifer! After yo-yo "dieting" for most of my adult life (and I'm now 55) I finally ended that cycle this year. Since January, I've slowly and healthfully lost 25 pounds, and now finally weigh what my driver's license says! Smile What finally worked for me, and I sure hope you don't wait for this---was doing it for health reasons. My blood pressure was very high, and so I joined this site and started logging sodium, but also in doing so, logged all the food I was intaking, as well as exercise. If you start doing the logging, you will acquire better eating habits just because you are finally truly aware of what you're putting into your body each day. Those little bites and nibbles can add up if they're the wrong food items.
Good luck to you and hang in there. Once you do this for 6 to 9 months, you will be home free on the road to a healthier, happier life!
