I have been on the same weight for 11 years after gaining more than 40 lbs´after a harsh anorexia.

I was on the same weight for 11 years and then i had to beautiful girls with in 18 months. I have gained app. 38 lbs and now I have to loose them.

It is actually a fight to get enough calories eaten every day. I fight hard to get them eaten and use the calorie counter but have to eat in panic some nights just to get above the 80% daily intake.

Are there others like me? Or am I the only one on this planet (in that case stop the planet I want to get off haha)

Hey EllieV, To prevent you from panic eating in the evening you should set your total daily intake in the morning. I fill in the dietcalender each day in the morning from breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. So already in the morning i know what to eat and drink for the rest of the day and make sure its the calories i need to have. Than you do not have to panic either at the end of the day you had to much or too less. Succes!!

I started my weight loss journey on October 4th, 2010 - and this is what I have accomplished so far:

I am a recovering anorexic as well. I got fat, because after dealing with the whole anorexic mind-trip, I thought it would be better to be fat than ever get in the anorexic psycho place again. My advice is to live by your calorie counter. I count my calories very rigidly. I try to get at least 30% of my RDI by breakfast and 50-60% by lunch.

I would really focus on breakfast. What do they always say? It's the most important meal of the day. Since you have children, why not make sure they get a healthy breakfast too - Bacon, eggs, fruit, etc. They have a great Frittata recipe in the FatSecret recipes. Too many people start their morning with empty calorie package cereal and it really screws up their whole day.

While I have never had Anorexia, I struggle to get in all the calories each day, to the point the my husband nags that I haven't eaten enough.

I get so busy with work, school, being caretaker to both my parents and running a household, cultivating a marriage and having health issues myself (microdiscectomy scheduled for January) that it's difficult to get the calories in.

That is a tough thing to over come. I know it is annoying to have your husband nag you to eat more (mine used to nag me to eat less), but I finally realized one day he did it because he loved me. So when I started to look at it as a way he was showing me love it didn't annoy quite as bad.

I know he means well, Hobo, I just don't like to eat at 9 or 10pm and then go right to bed. I get reflux sometimes when I do that. So, last night about 9pm I was eating a bowl of cereal with soy milk.
