Well I started this journey in 2006 or so I can't remember the exact date. At one point I was 199lbs(BMI 32.1). I'll never forget that weigh in day. A fellow I worked with and close friend were checking out one of the scales we made for a medical company and after the weigh in my boss says wow, first one to hit 200 I'll buy you a pizza. So began my quest to be in a better shape than round.

Around this same time period we began remodeling our house and I managed to drop to 177lbs after doing a lot of the labor myself, electrical, sheet rocking, taping, painting etc... At which point I was thinking damn, what am I going to do now since we're done (around early 2009). If I don't do something I'll end up getting fat again.

I started using the new gym at work running on the treadmill etc... which got really boring really fast. So I started cycling in shortly thereafter. I began with short commutes to work and about 7mi rides.

Fast foward to 2011. I'm currently at 150lbs (BMI 24.2) which I'm happy with. From cycling about 300mi/mo which has resulted in an increase in my cardio and muscle mass in my legs and a solid core at least but I've seemed to of hit a plateau. I seem to be getting faster on the bike but my weight has been at 150 for at least 3-4mos. So I'm going to track my caloric intake to see if there's something I can do to change my diet/nutrition.
