I wrote this in my journal today, and after re-reading it, I felt like sharing it here. I hope it can bring a smile to your face and/or motivate. Here goes:
Yes! I lost another 300g today.
I am so amazed that the weight just keeps dropping, even if I get frustrated with the fluctuation now and then. I have made is so far in this journey.
The compliments are coming from all sides these days.
Last Friday, a co-worker stopped dead in her tracks, and just stared at me. Then after a moment she goes: "Wow. I know you lost a lost of weight. But you're past that. I mean, you're not even chubby any longer".
Though not (in my eyes) entirely true, that is a MASSIVE ego booster. A few hours later, I had another one. I went to a little local park for an out door concert. Wife and I brought lawn chairs to just sit and watch the show. It was last day for the local college and there was quite a lot of people.
Looking out over the crown, and later walking around a little amongst people, I suddenly realized that I was no longer the fattest guy in the crowd. Actually, I was FAR from the fattest guy in the crowd!
I notice that I can't stop looking at myself in the mirrors and store windows.
I feel SO great about myself these days.
If you are far in your weight loss journey, I am sure you know what I'm talking about.
If you just started your weight loss journey, I am here to tell you that you CAN make it. Keep being dedicated, keep going, don't give up. If you stumble, get back up and keep going. It's TOTALLY worth it.

You've lost over 100 lbs!!!! That's freaking fantastic! You deserve those compliments... and the attention your losses bring! So glad you and your wife got out to share a fun time together - but that moment when you look around in the world and see that you are no longer the 'big man' on campus!!! LOL! Makes it all worth it doesn't it? GREAT JOB on staying focused and you are oh so close to your goal weight! Cheering you on!!!
Live, Love, Laugh ...make each day memorable and enjoy the journey.

You've got every right to be proud of yourself. Even though I'm only a part way to my goal weight, I know the effort YOU'VE put into this. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet! I know exactly how you feel. I see myself in windows & hardly recognize myself. Like you, I still have a way to go, but I'll get there eventually.

Boy -- did I need to hear your story today. You are awesome, truly. This week, I had to record my first upward fluctuation since I started last July, and I was discouraged enough that I temporarily forgot the great feeling when I catch my reflection in the mirror and I know longer feel embarrassed. Thanks for reminding me. I will keep your success in my thoughts this week.
