I have four different places that I walk one of them being an enclosed mall for when it rains. The mall opens early for walkers giving us two and a half hours access before the stores open.I find that when I rotate the places that I walk and walk at different times of the day I will not get caught up being bored.I could be out for a walk at 6:00a.m. one day and 3:00p.m.the next day, I walk 90 minutes a day and with FatSecret I achieved my weight loss.

Moving locations and times of the day can keep you from getting bored also when I finish my walk at the mall there is a Starbucks waiting for me Smile

I use the mall too. But it shouldn't be your only exercise. It was for me but the problem was I got plantar fascitis AND I got so conditioned to it that i wasn't losing the weight as well walking. Use other exercises too if you can and switch off. As far as walking goes, my walking includes indoor walking at the mall, outdoor walking at Georgia's state parks (there's one near me), and aggressive walking on LA Fitness's treadmills. You want the variation in altitude that outdoor walking and treadmills can give you.

The mall is great place to walk when weather is bad outside. You can even do it when its open if you can't make it for the early bird walking. They have free step climbers (steps not escalator) and you can always add weight by bringing cloth shopping bags with you filled with heavy items Smile Just avoid food courts if mall is open lol.

Congrats, I acutally don't mind mall walking some of the elderly ladies that do it here are super friendly and make the time pass fairly fast!

You say you want a cheeseburger but all I hear is "I need love" - a comic strip on the fridge at work.

You have failed only when you quit trying. Until then, you're still in the act of progression. So, never quit trying and you'll never be a failure.
