Wow. Gaining 6 lb back on the new system is a bummer. I lost 20 lb on the old WW about a year ago, attending meetings, old points system. Now I'm not attending meetings but attempting the PointsPlus new way. Still not sure how it's working but it is great eating all the extra food! I do know that it's important to eat all of the points allotted. I'm just wondering...are you eating all the points? Are you eating maybe TOO much fruit? Hmmm...hard to say why you might be gaining on the new system.

ya i am eating the points but i think i am eating too much. i used to have 19 points and i exercise 5 to 6 times a week an hour a day. i eat two fruits as snacks same as before and couple veggies. i have not changed a thing except eating the 29 points. its so hard when i have done so good for so long. i really liked the old wieght watchers online i never went to meetings. i managed to get a hold of last years books going to switch back. but i am going to miss the site it was so easy to use and fast. let me no how you do.

I lost 35lbs with the old weight watchers program and i reched me lifetime goal of 110lbs but now with the new points plus program, I have gained 5 lbs! Plus im hungrier now than when i was in the old point program. My mother in law is a leader and she told me to eat more protein. Since I started to eat more protein, I started to loose again. Try that and post your progress

Its your body, so if you feel that they old way of counting was best for you, then keep doing that.

Hi I am a fairly new member... I joined in December right after the change in system. My leader has said over and over, that if you are not hungry at the end of the day and you did not consume all of your points you are not obligated to eat more food. It is not bad to have a few daily points left over now and again.

Also, if you consume points on things like chips, cookies etc... instead of bulkier foods like fruits and vegetables... you may consume the same number of points but an piece of cheese will take so much longer to metabolize than a 1 oz bag of chips. The points may be the same but cheese will sustain you longer and therefore you aren't hungry as quickly then if you ate same points plus bag of chips.

just google weight watchers points and you can look for the formula to figure out many points you get. it goes on a couple things.

I tried that the new formula isnt published. So it's a lot harder to find what the new daily point value is.

They don't even have sliders or anything. They don't even have it in the books they give you at the first visit. They just weigh you and the lady behind the desk tells you what your daily allowance is
