I was watching the news and was a little worried about some of the buddies here on FS who might be dealing with the big storm. I'm in the Pacific Northwest so our weather has not been severe. Just wanted everyone to know that we are thinking of you. We are a community and are here to support each other

Thanks for the kind thoughts Kathy!
Here in Oklahoma, we've been pretty much shut down with all of the snow. All of the schools and businesses have been closed because nobody can go anywhere!
We got over a foot at my house (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mandajomiles/5408509760/) and they are saying that we broke all of the previous snow fall records here! It's pretty crazy.
We are lucky enough to still have power, water and internet though--thank goodness!!

I am in Bolingbrook, IL...outside of Chicago. We have about 22 inches of snow that fell over night. Lots of shoveling!!! but we are doing great...played in the snow for about 2 hours today
Good exercise too!

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
You can use shakes for a few days. I have used the Atkins shakes and they are very good tasting. Soups are good though as stated above you may have to puree them. You could puree or blend cottage cheese ...
