Can I add a food that's not there?

Is it possible to add a food that is not on the list? What I mean is, I'm trying to enter a bread recipe. Since I can't eat gluten, it's a gluten-free recipe, and of course odd things like sorghum, millet, and quinoa flours aren't on the list. Isn't there a way to enter my own food, my own nutritional info for that specific food? For instance, I could enter the nutritional info from the individual bags of flour, if I knew how.
Hope someone can help, thanks!

Yeah, you can absolutely do that. Just make sure the individual ingredients are on the list and add them if need be. Let's say you search for it but can't find an item or the nutritional info is different for the one you have--you can add it using the link off on the right bar of the page that says "add a new item to the database." Once you have everything in, you can use the "my cook book" option under "my fatsecret" to create the recipe and either make it available to everyone or keep it to yourself

Thanks for the reply! I'm sorry I just now saw it--I don't come here often because it's been so **** frustrating trying to figure out how to enter my foods so I can see how many carbs I'm eating! Really, it's almost easier just trying to figure it all out on a calculator. :-\
Well, here's another frustrating thing, and if I can get around it, if someone could please tell me how? It's the pre-set measurements of food. I don't want to use the measurements they say, I want to use my own. For example, I don't bake with sugar or Splenda, I bake either with Stevia or xylitol (usually xylitol). So just now I was trying to enter the simplest recipe I've ever had, and couldn't do it because the only size choice was "Serving". Well, one serving of xylitol is quite small. I needed to say in the recipe that 2/3 cup of xylitol was needed.
Is there any way to customize measurements, or am I out of luck?

If a recipe calls for say 1/4 of a cup but the serving size is 1 cup you can put it as .25 which will cut the serving info down for you . I do this all the time when I eat say 1 piece of chocolate from a 5 piece serving .22 or .44 if I'm indulging with 2 pieces. Just have to figure out your % and change to decimals.
