Hi, densa1! I am also a teacher, but with a lot more weight to lose. I started last Wednesday and have been keeping track since then. I also notice we're in the same Biggest Loser challenge (the one starting tomorrow). What do you teach?

We should start an educator group... there are probably enough of us on here!

I teach middle school and have had weight problems all my life. Didn't address them until about five years ago on Weight Watchers. I lost 75 pounds, injured myself and used it as an excuse to get off track. I've regained it all back.

Hey there, I am a teacher too -- primary school, currently Grades 5 and 6 (middle school in the US??). I have been on and off diets for more than half my life (in particular I was a serial Weight Watchers' member -- I think at last count I joined 9 times, and only succeeded once, then promptly gained the weight back again).
I have finally decided that I'm tired of the yo-yoing and am now trying to develop a healthier approach to life, including a bit of work/life balance. I moved my family near the beach, looking forward to more outdoor activities but ironically I am about 24 pounds heavier than I was before the move, as I now have to travel much further to school.
All up I'm looking to lose around 45 pounds to get back to a healthy weight range -- so a long answer to a short question -- I'm happy to be your buddy and have someone to be accountable to/for.
Great idea, redhaiku -- maybe we should start up an educator group!

I am not a teacher but would love to be a support buddy. I was laid off for a year and was finally successful at landing a new job 3 months ago. I eating habits got pretty lax because I was home alone all day. I have done Weight Watchers, NutriSystem, LAWL, even a few invented diets from things I had heard from other people. So I am back on the wagon again. My best success was with LAWL so am trying to replicate their program on my own. Since they closed here in NC about 2 years ago, I lost money and see they now have an online program but do not want to give them anymore money!

I would love to join. Having support and being "accountable" to others helps keep me on track. I have been yo-yoing with the same 40 pounds for a while now and am ready to lose it for good.

Count me in. I'm a hairstylist, Mother of five and married to a navy man. My husband is watching his weight with me but he has little to nothing to lose. Maybe 10 lbs where I started with 60. have lost 17.8 but still have a long way to go.
