"You lost 0.5 lb (0.3 %) since you last weighed in on Thursday 30 Dec 10. At that rate it will take you about 31 months to get to your goal weight."

Excuse me, FatSecret, but you really don't have a crystal ball into my life or the events of the past month. Between losing my car, being on an emotional roller coaster, and not being able to go to the gym because I hurt my knee in the accident (not to mention my monthly visitor) I think I have an excuse for only losing .5 lbs in the past month. At least I didn't gain back everything I lost in the month prior to that, FatSecret!

Thanks for trying to make me feel like crap, FatSecret, but this girl has a CAN DO attitude now! And you will not bring me down!

Anyone else have something/someone trying to bring you down right now that you refuse to let get in the way of your goals??

Those system messages are totally inaccurate because they don't consider the trend at all. Don't let it get you down. I hope things settle down for you soon!

The oposite happened to me today. I weighed in a big loss but it is because i am just starting (well starting AGAIN) and I usually will lose about 10lbs in the first two weeks. (mostly water and such) SO with that info they are telling me that I can lose 50 lbs in 10 weeks....Yeah not going to happen...at all.

And you can't help but wonder if I can't do that am I a failure?

and Canajun I LOVE your Sig!

Today I'm finally back to where I was before the car accident, and I'm so happy! Then the FatSecret thing said I'm losing weight at a rate of 11lbs a week. LOL no way, I'm so not losing that much. LOL

And I too love your sig, Canajun!! Smile

For heaven's sake - don't let a computer hurt your feelings. This is a formula, an algorythm. You put in current information and it processes it through the formula and spits out an answer. It's not a value judgment. Why are you paying attention? When I started this diet, no not diet, life change, I estimated it would take me 18 months to lose 100 pounds -- about 5.5 pounds per month. I've lost 42 pounds in 6 months, or about 7 pounds per month. All I care about it sticking to my goal. The computer can say anything it wants. Stay strong and focused. Forget about the computer.

Can you do yogurt? A friend recommended to me plain yogurt with splenda mixed in. Maybe try that with some berries. I've been putting frozen raspberries in my protein shake.
