You look fantastic and I bet you feel fantastic too!

I have to say, though, that one of the best things I've seen you write is that you learned to love that fat person instead of hating her. I think that's the breakthrough we all need to succeed. Smile

Oh yes, Canajun. I don't hate that fat girl at all! She's awesome Smile She's the one who made the difficult choices to change her life. Me and her are cool. I forgive myself. Everyone makes mistakes. One of mine just happened to be very visible on the outside.

I agree it is one of the keys to success in learning to be kind to yourself.

Thanks friends Smile Glad I'm not bothering anyone with my blatant "Look At Me!!!" I'm so glad there's a forum here called that!

Elly, YES! Some women look great in the 180s, 190s or even 200s! It all depends on your height and body type. So many think you have to be 120 to look good, but we have to take into account each individual body type for ideal weight. I could never be 120. I'm 5'8". Can you imagine how sick I would look if I lost another 60 pounds??

You're right, K8--you could absolutely NOT lose another 60lbs. I'm not even sure about the last 9...but ok...but your 180 looks GREAT! I chose 160 as my goal based on recommended weight charts and I chose on the high side...I'll have to reassess when I get close. I'm so excited for you to be so close to your goal!!!! Your show an amazing transformation. I'm so glad you share them with us.

Thank you Smile

Isn't it crazy, when I was younger I got to 160 and I thought I was still fat simply because the number "sounded so high". That makes absolutely no sense now that I think about it fully. But I wasn't in a great state of mind back then. I guess sometimes it just takes some age and maturity to understand things like every body being different, especially since the media feeds us this ONE acceptable body image for women. I'm happy I have found peace with my beautiful, imperfect body. I am glad I stopped torturing myself with crazy fad diets and starvation plans that only led to gaining the weight back and never led me to any happiness with myself. All the drastic plans worked for losing weight. And none of them worked in the long run.

But I can guarantee, this lifestyle change is permanent. I can never go back to my old ways because I learned so much along the way this time.

k8yk - your comment about people thinking 120 lbs is the right weight...I find this number popping up in the media quite a bit, as though anyone who has a higher weight is unacceptable. Weird society we live in.

You look so incredible in your new photos, so chic!

I like the progression of pictures they show that people can lose weight. you said you did it by normal calorie counting and exercise too? thats awsome. i can't stand the diets. I get so starved and end up over eating late at night.
Life is now! why waste it.
