Could some one give me some advice on what is best for me to have for breakfast:
Porridge?
Branflakes?
Toast?
or a piece of fruit?
Could some one help?

I'm not a big eater in the morning during the week...
Do you drink coffee? I am a majah coffee drinker, and a nutritionist at Canyon Ranch once told me that you must put something in your stomach before you drink coffee. So, I like to spread my breakfast out a little bit. I pop a handful of blueberries in my mouth first thing, then pour my first cup of coffee with non sweetened Almond Milk, then bring an apple to work (or for you, maybe school?) where I slice it up to make it last longer as I enjoy a second cup of coffee. So I start eating at around 9am when I wake up, and essentially finish my breakfast around 11. I like to spread it out like this. Good luck!

heyy, thanks for the advice.
I'm not a coffee drinker, I always have a cup of tea in the morning around 7.45 and a small bowl of cereal because I can't eat a lot that early.
I'm wondering what would the best thing be to eat so that I can go until about 4 in the afternoon without eating because I don't like eating in front of people at school. I'm in a real dilemma because I really can't eat in front of a lot of people. :/

During the week I'm usually on yogurt and a 90 calorie cereal bar but on the weekends I have 2 servings of egg beaters, 1 slice of wheat toast with fat free spreat and 2 slices of turkey bacon. It's pretty low cal plus I start my day with something substantial.
It's MY time!

Hazey--I certainly wouldn't recommend not eating for the entire day until 4p! If you don't like eating in front of people at school, grab your lunch and eat by yourself...somewhere. Just make sure that you get something in your system during the day.

Sounds very nice jenju Smile
and melmi20, I know it isn't good, but it seems I never have the time and I'm never hungry at half past 12, I should really take a cereal bar or piece of fruit maybe, I will see what happens by doing that Smile

I too do not like to eat in the morning, but to lose weight you must.

Here's what I have, your mileage may vary:
1 hard boiled egg
1 serving of instant oatmeal
1 peice of fruit - like a clemantine or a plum
Less than 300 calories together, but they keep me feeling full until my morning snack. =)

Definitely eat as early as you can. This is what will get your body going. Your metabolism will start working and you will find it easier to lose weight. You should eat small meals through out the day. Not eating until 4 is bad! It will not help you lose weight and may actually cause you to gain.

Really, breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day. You want to get something with protein for sure. I usually have cottage cheese and fruit. That's protein, fat and carbs. I really used to hate breakfast, never felt hungry for it. But now I'm used to it. Eat breakfast (and lunch) whether you are hungry or not. But I bet if you start eating breakfast, you'll find you are very hungry for lunch Smile

if you are allergic to egg, but like cheese, try a serving of some string cheese, something with some protein and some fat...
