Is anyone using the Withings scale? I'm planning on buying one and love how many services they have integration with; I was kind of bummed to see that FatSecret doesn't integrate with Withings.com.

If you are using the Withings scale and would like to see FatSecret connect and pull in your weigh-ins automatically, please mention it here so the FatSecret team will consider adding the feature. I really prefer FatSecret to some other sites, but ultimately it's going to come down to how much of this record-keeping I can automate. It's time-consuming enough to log meals; I'd love to cut out having to manually enter weight data.

At $170 with shipping, I think I'll stick to my old fashioned $17 scale.

Bought it, love it, use it with lots of apps. Just started tryimng fatsecret.com and the app on my Android and discovered no way to enter historical weight data automatically.
I'm not going to start using a new app that can't integrate with others so it's not likely I'll continue using this thing unless it can receive my daily weigh-ins from my scale.

Sounds stupid to a lot of people, but it's the same as convincing people why you need any sort of app on a telephone you carry around with you when good old pen and paper work "good enough".

I have bought a Withings scale as well and currently use CalorieCounter on Android/Fatsecret.com for tracking data.

By all reports the Withings folks are really easy to integrate with and very easy to work with.

If FatSecret intends to retain athletic users it needs to advance the product in terms of what data it can be used to track and devices it can integrate with.

I track my weight, but I'm not on a weight loss diet, I'm on a "run marathons" diet. Bodyfat and macronutrient percentages are more important to me at this stage than mere pounds.

I'm currently thinking of upgrading from my Tanita, I'd be very interested in a Fatsecret integration as well.

just got Withings...kinda cool and has some integration -- still not with Fat Secret but does integrate with Google Health (novelty IMO) and with Lose-it, so if you have an iphone, you're golden. re: Tanita appears to be more stable/consistent with readings. Also less sensitive to flooring (for example I have slate in the bathroom and Withings doesn't like the uneven texture). I would vote for FS/W integration

Same here, I think it's pretty dumb to be forced to enter your weight somewhere while it's done automagically somewhere else.

JUST ordered one! Totally stoked! I know my regular scale would do very well, but the less effort there is in the recording and monitoring area, the more enjoyable the activity of being healthy is. Smile

Lots of people like to see results, but don't want to hassle with the activity of taking detailed notes. With this, and endomondo and fatsecret, it's all coming together quite nicely!

Please integrate. Integrating with fitbit would also be helpful. I like your tracker better than lose it, but they are far superior with integration to make an all in one solution

IMHO fatsecret is the most user friendly and the only one with a widget. Integration with fitbit (pedometer on steroids) LOL would be AWESOME! Personally, I find Loseit! too time consuming to enter foods.
May the road of your journey be blessed with friends on all sides cheering you on!!

Right now I have an old non wireless Tatiana scale. When Fatsecret integrates with a scale and auto tracks all data not just weight I will upgrade my scale

My husband bought one and I thought that was the dumbest financial decision ever. However, I now love love love it. It is motivating. I hope they integrate it here!!!

Do you like cottage cheese or does it make you cringe?
It depends. I can't stand eating it with fruit or anything sweet, like most people do.

COCONUT WATER
I love coconut water & prefer Harmless Harvest raw coconut water. It's more expensive, but worth it, I think. I get it at Whole Foods or a local health food store.
