i see a lot of recipes here which don't look to me like eat to live recipes, at least not the 6 week plan.

i did this about 3 years ago and lost about 70 lbs in 6 weeks. here is the diet as i remember it, but i'll have to dig the book out:

no meat, not even lean meat

no dairy products

no oil, not even for cooking

no bad carbs

no sugar unless it occurs naturally in fruit/veggies and you have to eat the whole fruit, can't be juice or smoothies

limited amount of fake sweetener drinks (because they make you crave sugar which you can't have)

so you basically just eat:
tons of raw and lightly cooked veggies = yes
beans are fine
small amount of nuts and tofu
small amount of flax seed
definitely make sure you get enough omega-3 supplements since you won't be eating any animal protein

I've seen what you're talking about, which is one of the reasons I started my own diet "Nutritarian," which follows the same principles from the Eat to Live diet. You are welcome to join our members if you'd like, otherwise I've added you as a buddy so we can lend eachother support.
