Ten pounds in two weeks! My message says that at today's rate, I'll loose the 40#'s in two months. I liked yesterday's better-it said I would loose it all in one month.
I am going to attempt to delete and restart my account. I want the starting date to be Dec 28, the day that I actually started dieting. Ifthe delete doesnt' work, I will reup using a different name, and Candice, I think you will have to invite me to join the group. Maybe I'll see if Judson wants to get an account. Maybe that will motivate him to watch what he eats.
I like to exercise early in the morning-before my brain figures out what my body's doing.

Yeah, I think that is the one drawback currently, you can't change the date of your diet start.

LOL..just don't depend on it staying that way.
On Atkins, you loose a lot of water weight. The next 2 weeks you will loose a fair amount, the following 2 weeks it should settle down to between .5 and 2 #s per week.

It really isn't recommended that one lose more than 2 pounds per week. It took me about 8 months to lose 40 lbs (before I joined FS). There were some weeks I would lose 3 lbs, and some where I wouldn't lose any.

I agree with DeniseTra that it is most likely water weight. Otherwise, 10 pounds / 2 weeks = 5 pounds / week = .7 pounds / day = 2500 calorie deficit per day! Thats like running 25 miles a day!

So don't get discouraged if your rate of weight loss slows down. Slow and steady wins the race!

The calorie in/calorie out thing isn't really accurate, especially with Atkins, but you can definitely expect the weightloss to slow.

I really hate that "at this rate" thing on Fatsecret, because it assumes that you will continue to loose at the rate between your last weigh-in and this weigh in. It would make MUCH more sense for it to extrapolate based on ALL of your weigh-ins.

Have you done the lessons over at atkins.com? They are a wealth of information on doing Atkins correctly.

Hmmm. Didn't realize plain yogurt was that high in carbs. I mentioned it because the friend who recommended it to me said her parents do it, and they are both on Atkins. I'm doing Paleo, but ...
