So i've been reading up on some stuff regarding medication and treatments for my lactose intolerance but i haven't found anything yet. I mean, i already spend too much time and money on lactaid, dairy ease and etc. i'm just looking for something that's more affordable and hopefully something that has permanent effects, rather than the short, immediate relief stuff. The closest thing i've come across that i'm remotely interested in at all is this product called Lactagen. Lactagen looks like it could be the one, but you know how the internet is nowadays... it's very sketchy. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who can possibly help me out and tell me if this product really works?
here's a link to a fox news video clip i found on lactagen as well. check it out.

I haven't tried anything other than the cheap drugstore (CVS) lactaid, and it's working well for me. I also started eating yogurt every day - Stonyfield is a good flavor, but any with bacteria is fine because they all have the right stuff to fix your guts - it is supposed to help build up the bacteria that you need to digest lactose on your own. Also, cheddar cheese and swiss cheese do not have any lactose in them, so I eat those without lactaid. Good luck!
Every day is a new day.

hey carter! i hope your search is going well.
anyway, i’m stopping by to let you know that i actually have a friend who is on the lactagen program right now. she’s been on it for about 2 weeks now and she seems to be doing well on it. i haven’t heard any complaints so i’ll take that as a good sign
if you want my opinion, i’d say try it. what do you have to lose from giving it a shot?
if you have any questions, feel free to ask me and i’ll do my best to get my friend to get back to you
i hope this helped some!

abbadabba - cool cool, thanks for sharing
quick question though. with lactaid, don't you have to take that every time you consume a dairy product?
bernice - that's awesome! i'm actually really thinking about trying lactagen. do you know what made your friend decide to actually give lactagen a shot?

The lactaid is for every time you eat food with lactose - but cheddar cheese and swiss don't have lactose, and also yogurt has its own bacteria to help so I only take the lactaid with pizza or glasses of milk.

my friend was just tired of being limited to certain restaurants and food.
if you want my opinion, i'd say try lactagen. i mean, it's going really well for my friend right now and you even have a video clip of a doctor on national television recommending lactagen... what more could you ask for?
