Have you signed up yet? Are you going to try it? Do you trust them to sign up for something else? Forgive the questions it just keeps getting harder and harder going it alone...

I DID lose money and LOTS of product when my center closed down (bars bought in bulk and stored there for "freshness"Wink. I have had no luck when searching and emailing. I was told to go to "LA on the Go" which apparently doesn't even exist. I emailed LA to your Door and here is their response.
We are very sorry about your local center's closure and any inconvenience it has caused you. Unfortunately, we can not be of assistance to you due to the fact that your local center was owned and operated by LA Weight Loss Centers.
You have reached LA to Your Door which has no affiliation with LA Weight Loss Centers whatsoever. We are completely independent of each other and have separate ownership and management. The company that owns LA to Your Door now exclusively owns the rights to produce and sell the LA Weight Loss products and diet.
They have developed the latoyourdoor.com website to provide previous and new customers, like yourself, a way to access all your favorite LA Weight Loss Products and tools -like the diary and menu plans.
We hope this is helpful and you continue with your weight loss goals.

This correspondence was from April. They were no help to me, and I figured I'm not gonna put another cent into LAWL in any form, but maybe you CAN get product there. BTW, I have 3 bottles of VitaMax Advanced Reduced Caffeine supplements, 120 pills each bottle, factory sealed, expired 10/08. They have been stored in my freezer since the day I bought them. They're selling for $60 each on the website. I'd be happy to send them to anyone who wants them -- would appreciate being reimbursed for the postage.

I know there is a class action law suite going for people who lost money due to centers being closed. The reason we held on to the bars, not so much for situations like this, but we were always worried people would have them all on hand and never come back into the centers. Each visit WAS an opportunity for us to sell people more product but it was also a way for us to make sure people were staying on track. There is an accountibility that goes along with having to face someone and weigh in. One is much more likely to stay on plan if they know someone will be checking up on them week to week. Also, it was so often that people would not be using the plan correctly and it was good for us to catch the problems early and correct them.

As for not having the bars to use, there is a simple way to adjust your plan. The bars essentially came out to 1 protein serving- best used a half at a time, and two extra starches. This is usually a big sigh of relief, as carbs were so scarse to begin with.

Good luck!

Thank you for all the replies. I have not purchased from them yet. I am just too scared that I will lose $$$ and never get the products. I called about jenny craig but it was way too expensive. The cost was 319 for the year program and approximately 450 - 500 per month for food. They said it would take me about 2 1/2 months so that would be almost $1000 to lose 20 pounds. I am not going to pay that I have the tools I just have to use them. I just have to remotivate myself. I did like the accountablity of going into the center and there isn't a Jenny Craig around either so I am just going to have to be accountable to myself.
