I was an assistant manager for LA Weight Loss a couple years ago. Since leaving when, saddly, my center was closed I've fallen off the horse and gained back all the weight I lost. The program does work, it's just the way you use it. I'm starting back up today and welcome any one who may need advice to contact me. I'm going on without the protein bars we used as one of the plans called for "non-use" and I know how to tweak the system, haha. Wish me luck in a house with two kids and a husband. PS. I work in a restaurant now.

GOOD luck! I lost abour 70lbs on LA the first time I did it, but was put on medical hold last Feb due to pregnancy. In July I found out (at my 20 week ultrasound) I was having twins! I just started again on May 27th and have been losing great! Down 21 lbs and only 23 more to go to get to goal! Finally, be at pre-twin size again!!! (I couldnt imagine working around food all day long and not cheating! good good luck to you!)

Congrats on your twins and great job getting rid of the baby weight. Keep at it! It's not easy when it's one of my favorite restaurants but I'm giving it my best and, fourtunatly (knowing the menu well) it's easy to find or make things that are surprisingly close to plan.
Thanks for the well wishes!

Wow, it would be quite an adjustment to go from working in a weight loss center to working in a restaurant! Good luck!

Good Luck to you! I did LA Weight Loss about 9 years ago before I had my kids. It did work but I was always hungry. Do you have the paper that they used to give out on water? I always liked that one and wanted to share that with a friend.

Unfortunatly, I don't have any of the hand outs anymore. After three moves since working there much of my paper work has been shuffled around. I think I remember what one you're reffering to though. Here is the jist:

Water is an essential part of life, not just weight loss. The body does not absorb much of it's needed nutrients and vitamins when it is not taking in the right amount of water.
In the summer months, it's much easier to get in the suggested 64 oz of water per day. However, remember that your body uses more than that is it's natural cooling process- sweat. Try to get in the extra one or two glasses, especially if you're doing a lot of cardio excersize.
Remember: The water servings should be PLAIN water. Things like seltzer and soda water can carry extra sodium.
In the winter months, try things like hot water with fresh, natural lemon juice The taste is soothing and the lemon works as a natural diuretic that can get rid of bloat due to salty snacks and extra food around the holidays. It also eases the stomach and helps in the digestive process.
Carry bottles of water with you everywhere. The small investment of $2 for a 64 oz container (Can be found at places like Walgreens and Wal-Mart) can be a great reminder as well as a massive convinience.

I hope this helped a little. If there's anything else you'd like to know, please do not hesitate to ask!

All the best!

I was on the program from 2006-2008 (well 2007) and I have also fell off the wagon gainging 3/4 of the weight lossed back... This is my first attempt to re-start but I find myself wishing I had weekly visits, supplements and meal replacements .... I honestly feel they where key parts to my success.

HOODIA GORDONI
