I just started on fatsecret... I think it helps reading other people's successes as well as keeping constant watch on your own progress. Plus there's lots of neat tools and things on this site as well as recipes.

it does help reading others posts and seeing that I am not the only one out there trying to lose weight and having difficulty and needing to adjust... I don't get a whole lot of support here,, just a lot of "here eat this" or why don't you want anymore... and though I love these people dearly they don't support what I am doing,, they think fat is a sign of being healthy and eating good.

i'm not much motivated by others success...to be completely honest what keeps me going on here is the thrill of watching that little chart on your profile drop down, down, down

Yes, I like watching the chart too. very rewarding to be able to see your progress
Also the diet calendar is great for recording your meals. I have to admit that before I started doing it, I had absolutely no idea how many calories were in things. It is really easy too because you don't have to go looking for labels to figure out how many calories were in something. You can also make your own recipes then choose them when you fill in the diet calendar. Very cool.
