You guys!!!
Did you know that
100% Whole Grain Wheat Thins
have
Corn syrup
AND
High Fructose Corn Syrup
, in them?????
I am
NOT
happy about this, at all!! GRrrr!!!
I thought I was being good by only buying the 100% Whole Grain Wheat Thins (not regular wheat thins)!!
MAN!! Do they have to put
CRAP
in everything???
I have my own personal, vacation weeks for sale in Mexico!! Feel free to email me for more info... $700 for 2adults, 2 children, 7 nights!! =D

Wow! Thanks for sharing, BT! I'll make sure to stay away from them. Not sure about 'Wasa/wasi crackers' but I see a lot of it in the food journals. Maybe that's a better alternative? Don't know how they taste. I like Weight Watcher's Whole Wheat bread. 1 serving is TWO slices and if you toast them dark enough, it's ALMOST like a cracker (you got to use your imagination). LOL. I like to spread Lite Cream cheese (and sometimes low sugar strawberry preserves) on them. Tasty snack!

Yeah, I've been trying to avoid buying anything with High Fructose corn syrup in it.. as well as anything with sugar in it. If they are in the product, I try to make sure it's not the first 5 ingredients. I'm seriously thinking about making alot of my own breads and crackers. That way you can control what you put in them. Thankfully we've got a bread maker here, so I've go free range. I just have to figure out to make the bread a little fluffier when using whole wheat..
It's always the stuff you think is healthy..until you read the ingredients. UGH.

I eat the reduced fat whole wheat triscuits for that reason. I always watch the sugars on the labels and though I love wheat thins, they were a no-no for me.

I was doing really good with the Wasa crisps... they even have a sour dough one!
But I just didn't read far enough down the label about the HFCS! Man, that chapped my hide! lol
Back to the old drawing board, and yes, I too love the triscuits, but was thinking them "whole grain" things wouldn't be so bad.
I'll have to look at the all bran crackers that I found with fiber in them,... I'm betting they have the HFCS, too.
Thanks for all the responses!

the whole grain and whole wheat labels are decieving...if the first ingredient is wg flour or ww flour...it is just as bad as eating white flour...that is what is so bad about labels...keep your sugars under 3 per serving...have fun...bt try those new ones i found: Kavli brand...

Has anyone tried
"MARY'S
gone
CRACKER'S"?
I don't eat alot of cracker but sometimes I have had the above brand. (NONE in 4 weeks, while on the no-carb challenge
) They are wheat-free, gluten-free,they are made with organic short grain brown rice, quinoa, flax seed, sesame seeds soybeans. I appreciate any input!

OH YES !!! Those Mary's Gone Crackers are YUMMY !!!
I have a box of them too ! LOL
They are good, but I think per serving were a bit high for WW. The great thing is that they are all SEEDY crackers with FLAX !!! So that is excellent...
I love them when I need some good crunch !
Thanks for the info !

Hey, does anyone know the difference btwn HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) and 'corn syrup solids'? Just learned that it's the 3rd ingredient (after water then sugar) in Tofutti's Cuties Mint Chocolate Chip non dairy sandwiches. LOL. I guess even if I didn't know I shouldn't buy anymore b/c of the 'sugar' ingredient! Yippes! I'm learning!
Also, purchased SF Cool Whip and just noticed it has 'corn syrup, hydrogenated vegetable oils, and aspartame. Double Yipess! I guess I'm not going to buy this product again either!

Hey, btw... looked at Safeway for the marys gone crackers and didn't see them anywhere.
I did find the Kavli, and they seemed to be about the same as the wasa crisps. How would you say that they compare, or have you tried them? I don't mind the wasa, and they were on sale, so I got some more of them.

I'm reading this while eating some absolutely delightful fresh melon for breakfast. If the melon isn't soft enough on its own you could add it to a fruit smoothie.
