I am a south beach person who has lost 30 +lbs in the last 9 months. Also can use support because I have reached a plateau and am not exercising as I should and am tempted to go off the diet despite knowing I have had such success and if I quit it will start heading the other direction.

Louiseww Im here if you need support. I dont really know yr diet but you have done so well. some times it can take weeks for weight to start going down again, they say its because muscle in the body is gaining strenght, that you actually are losing weight but maybe if you measured yrsel instead for next few weeks, forget bout scales (I know it can be the hardest thing to do) and check the inches, But stay strong no matter what. And zzzzz you look so young and beautiful, had to read yr bio again to make sure,

Hi Louiseww,
I was South Beach now I just am trying to keep my carbs below 30...I'm not doing so good...To many temptations...I take step aerobics on Mondays and kickboxing on Wen...I also walk my dog (Belle) at least twice a week for about an hour...I have lost the same 1 lb for about 3 weeks...I feel I'm active enough but I've been eating way to many carbs...

If you are still here at FS..feel free to email me, there are many reasons and also several things you can try when hitting a plateau. Most do not mean needing to "up" your exercise. You should be able to lose weight the right way without having to do anything you wont be able to keep up for the rest of your life. I for one, am simply not one to work out on a regular basis...life happens a bit too frequently to me.
Email me.
Best wishes!

Atkins misconceptions
PLEASE NOTE: I realise that this was submitted to an Atkins board, and I do not intend my comments to offend people. I am writing this to explain why the "gaspers" may feel the way they do. ...

Net Carbs
bball...definetly go to the boards on Atkins. Do a search for MIM. That is muffin in a minute. You probably need much more fiber than you are getting, and the MIM will help you. If you make it a p ...

Faster Metabolism?
Most of my carbohydrates already come from complex sources, and I'm eating a ton of protein. Plus I'm limiting my carbs to breakfast and lunch. I am working in an occassional "cheat" meal. ...

So frustrated!
8 pounds in a month is pretty great. That is 2 pounds per week. That is the far-end of the range of what you can leave and keep it off.

recording activities and food intake
You should be able to add most of your foods by grams. If the only option is a teaspoon, there are 28 grams (dry) in a teaspoon.
