I highly recommend getting a cheap used copy of the book and reading it. Or try getting the pocket book for a quick start and borrow the book from the library. It is important to understand the diet you are doing before you start.

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!

Welcome to the site--you'll find lots of support and encouragement here. But I've got to say, I am always surprised when people announce that they are beginning a diet that they have no knowledge about. I am with Sararay--go read up about it yourself, and see if it sounds right to you. But this site isn't about other people telling you how to do it. We're here trying to get there ourselves, and encouraging each other on the journey. Good luck!!

I strongly recommend you get the book and read it in its entirety. In the meantime, here's a good website that will tell you what foods you can eat.

Best of luck!

Thanks everyone for a fast response. I wasn't sure if I was doing this whole thing right. Thank you KellyBo for the info. I have already purchased a book and have started reading up on the south beach diet. I do think that this diet just might help me. I am excited to be a part of the fatsecret. I know with the support from everyone, I won't feel alone, and I will try harder. Thank you

I'm not really concerned about carbs for my own diet, I was just responding to yankgal's request for different ways to add fruit back into her diet. Yankgal is in my buddies so I see her posts. ...
