My doctor recommended this new diet last October, & I'm thrilled with it.

Because the problem with low carb diets is that they're high in fat. And the problem with high carb diets is that too many carbs metabolize in the liver first into sugar, and if there's too much of that then into more fat.

So this one, with No or very low sugar (including the natural sugar in fruits & dried fruits)...and NO (bad) fat...just olive oil & canola oil...that appealed.

BUT THE BIGGEST GRABBER...is the CHOCOLATE. Unsweetened, non-alkalinized cocoa, that is. It's the top antioxidant, with 29 times more potency than broccoli, and it works 2 ways, helping you physically and emotionally, like a mood elevator drug. You heard right, it really is a MOOD ELEVATOR, and legal!!!

If you have hot fudge to look forward to every night, you'll have no cravings, no boredom. In ONE tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa are 4,000 antioxidants! Twice that of dark chocolate -- which, avoid with its fat and sugar.

Just make sure you buy the non-alkalinized (Dutch processed) unsweetened cocoa. Alkalinization destroys the antioxidants. I use Hersheys, the little brown box, but since the health news is out about cocoa many supermarkets are carrying their own brands. That's ok. Just make sure it's unsweetened, non-alkalized.

It's the best thing you can do for your health, and like a feel-good drug it helps you lose weight.

The Cardiologist's Wife's CHOCOLATE TOO! Diet: No Sugar, No Fat & Luscious is on Amazon.
