I had the same problem! When you go to "enter food" you can either look on the right column....I think it's after "How do I compare" and before "exercise diary" and you will see "custom food", click that and you will see what to do..... or enter a food that doesn't exist (xyz) in the place where you look up food and it will give you an opportunity to add a custom food. Hope this helps.

sassygurk4, to enter custom food:
1. go to MY FATSECRET (on top)
2. on right hand side click on "enter food" near Diet calendar
3. click on + add item
4. under search (in green) click on add a custom food
5. enter info. from label on box that you are eating
6. click on SAVE
7. click on blue down arrow to enter day, breakfast, or lunch etc.
8. click on SAVE
9. done

I don't have an option to add custom food. When I click on "Add Item" I only have the option to
Or Find a Food
or
cancel
. No adding custom food which sucks because I love my Butterball turkey bacon but noticed today the turkey bacon listed here is completely wrong for the brand that I am eating.

What worked for me is typing a bit of nonsense into the Find A Food, such as zzq. It will say no search results. Try again or enter custom food. That's how I do it every time. Hope you figure it out.
