Any suggestions on low carb bars? Seems like the one's I've checked out are so high in carbs, the one that I bought was the Advantage, 17g. Is this right? I need guidance. Thanks.

17 grams is the total carbs. But you have to subtract the fiber and the sugar alchohol to get the net carbs. It should say on the front of the wrapper how many net carbs there are.

Sweetsin is right.. I buy bars called Balance Bar Carb Well ... the nutrition facts are:

Total Carbohydrates= 22
Dietary Fiber = 1
Sugar Alcohols = 19

Total Carb 22
-dietary fiber 1
-sugar alcohol 19
_______________
2 net carbs...

2 is the amount of "net" carbs... the carbs that actually count.

Mine too says it on the front of the bar, if you'll just look at that, you won't have to do the math.

* These Fiber Carbohydrates are calorie free, Sugar Alcohols have little effect on blood sugar therefore, you can subtract them from the impact carbs.
Diets are like a jar of jalapenos.... the choices you make today might just burn your butt tomorrow!!!

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
You can use shakes for a few days. I have used the Atkins shakes and they are very good tasting. Soups are good though as stated above you may have to puree them. You could puree or blend cottage cheese ...
