Hello, all...I am looking for walking alternatives. I find walking to be boring and I can't seem to commit to it. I need something different. I work as a waitress and I'm on my feet walking all day...I need something new and fresh...something that will help me kick FAT's BUTT!!! Any suggestions?

I borrowed a Tae Bo tape from the library recently and love it. I think I'm going to have to get my own copy. It's really the only exercise I actually like. It kicks my butt, but I work out a lot of stress by doing all the kicking and punching. I guess I like that it brings out my inner tough chick! Wink

I just stick on some groovy music with a boom boom beat and dance around like a crazy person for half an hour or so when I get bored of walking or excercise!

Okay, I'm guilty of owning the Sweating to the Oldies tapes. When I'm bored, I pop one in and dance. It makes me feel better knowing there are plus size people out there exercising.

I've tried the Pilate's before, seemed too easy, but I couldn't hardly move for a week. Everything hurt, including my neck muscles, I guess that means it's working huh. I usually do the treadmill and other weight bench things to the price is right. But lests face it everything gets old eventually.. I guess we need to train the mind to just do it and not think about it,

A friend of mine and I signed up for a belly dancing class. Its alot of fun. The best part is that it is "the woman's dance" so 1) it works all the muscles from your ankles to your ribs, especailly the thighs, butt and stomach. 2) It is not meant for skinny girls, belly dancers are suppose to have flabby tummies and butts. The more it shakes the better you dance Wink

I bought the walk away the pounds set of mile 1, 2 and 3 that comes with a "stretchie band". Then I got so addicted I bought mile 4 as well. I absolutely love it and can do it everyday and never get bored. You are continually getting a good workout too because you are always changing what you are doing and using different muscles. I lost 35 lbs. last year and toned up a lot using it! I gained some back and am trying it again!

If you have the space to work out to a DVD I recommend getting one that is something totally different to you. I have a hip hop dance one - I am NOT a dancer! And it's fun and you're concentrating so much on learning something new that you're not focused on when it's going to be over. I even did the DVD in front of my boyfriend the other night, which was funny because I kept laughing thinking of how silly I looked!

I've recently moved apartment and now live approximately 8km from work. And I walked to work this morning, and very much hope to do it again tonight.
