I have read some of the recipes and they sound great. One of them says to serve with "your favorite pasta sauce". I thought that pasta sauces were not okay in phase 1 because they have sugar in them... Does anyone know of a good brand that is okay to eat on South Beach???

I've seen talk about sugar free pasta sauces but I couldn't find any at my supermarket. I did find a low fat one that was very low in sugar & carbs though so I deemed that OK.
If you look on this site there's also a recipe for phase 1 pasta sauce.

You can make you're own pasta sauce so that it has no added sugar, just the natural sugar found in tomatoes, which is ok. I think LittleMammaMickey posted one. Or you can just use a recipe from nearly any cook book.
As for other sauces, I just saw a low sugar BBQ sauce, I think it was Heinz brand. And of course there are standard things like ketchup and salad dressings that have low or no sugar options, even some under the south beach brand.
