It's so nice NOT to be a loner! Join me in June as we post menues and snag ideas. Well, the last few days I have been bad but I'm back on today!
B: Egg whites, sauteed red pepper, red onions and garlic with 1 slice non fat cheddar (sauteed in pan spray)
S: Peanut Butter (1tbs.)
L: 1 red pepper cut into strips with baba ghanouj (sp?)
S. Peanut butter
D; Italian sausage with canned stewed tomatoes, marjoram, basil, fennel. Sautee sausage first and then let tomatoes and herbs stew. When the meat is almost done throw it into the tomates to cook the rest of the way. Add water if necessay to avoid liquid getting too low.
S: Fudgesicle

Drinking 2L of water today. Had diet Coke this morning.

Babba Ghanouj is roasted eggplant, olive oil and lemon pureed as a dip. I buy mine at Costco but you can find easy recipes online. I don't use tahini in it but cilantro, basil and garlic are fine for added flavor. There's different variations.

Maybe this is what I need to kick myself into gear.

I wanted to join WW so that I could do the menus again and be more accountable. But I will try to post my menus on here starting this weekend!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Turkey burgers stuffed with pepper strips and sundired tomatoes sounds wonderful...where do I get the recipe? Also, so many newbies (like me) don't even know this part is here. Just found it today. Also, how do you make your hummus? Same as in the SBD book?

I'll post my menu although they are not as exciting...I'm a horrible cook but I am working on it.

B 2 egg omelet with skim cheddar cheese and homemade salsa
S 7 Cashews
L 1/2 of a sirloin steak, salad with light feta, tomatoes, & rasberry/walnut dressing (surprisingly low in sugar and very healthy)
S SF Strawberry Jello and 5 cashews
D Still up for grabs but I was thinking about homemade spaghetti and zuccini noodles.

My favorite summertime snack- sliced yellow squash or zucchini w/fresh salsa from the grocery store (not the smashed up runny kind... chopped and FRESH!)

veggie burgers(all kinds) topped with a spoonful of salsa and low fat cheese, salad

hmm... salad and LOTS of it!
