No, that is not cheating that's perfectly fine. Any combo of meats(You know what I mean of the lean, no sugary type) and most cheeses (again lower fat) is great I do the same thing some times.
I really like eggs but since I have been on phase 1 for almost 2 weeks I am getting tired of them. Thankfully Klow (on this site) gave me a recipe for green chili cassarole a couple of years ago and I almost live on it. It's like a chili rieno but in cassarole form and a bit spicy. I wish you willpower, you are doing great!

I checked my booked Hummus is ok in phase 1 - if I want something clean and light in the morning I like to eat cucumbers and dip them in hummus. It isn't a traditional breakfast, but it's yummy (especially on a hot day when eating eggs really sounds heavy and ugh!)

My son is exactly the same as you - what we do is mix the egg and yolk together, and poach them in the microwae - I am also thinking that if you are having cheese for a snack that you could put some of that in there too? It probably wont be very easy with cream cheese/triangles, but maybe whip it in JUST before they are ready? My son is off the Phases now, and maintaining, will eat the white but not the yolk now!!!

Once you are off of phase 1, fiberone and Kashi whole grain cereals are fab. I have them with FF soy milk for the protein. It has been working very well for me.
