I am trying to stick to this diet...going back on phase 1 tomorrow, but would LOVE to have a buddy to help keep me on track. I work in a hotel and am surrounded by temptation! Anyone else going on the Fat Flush?

Im having that same problem. There is way too many things in my house that tempts me. Like on my table there is a stack of bagels and on the counter there is a stack of gourmet crakers. Phase 1 is soo more difficult with those temptations
I hope you get through it and if you do need a personal buddy im here.

My husband and I are joining the fat flush plan wagon. We each need to lose 60-70 lbs. I just ordered the book online this morning. Now we have to wait about another week for it to arrive. Any suggestions on how we can get a jump start till the book arrives? So far, I see that I have to buy lots of lemons, cranberry juice and flaxseeds. I need all the support I can possibly get. 70 lbs. is a huge number to me when it comes to losing weight. Does anyone know what a realistic time frame would be to lose this much weight? This weight issue is consuming me with anxiety. I want it off ..........yesterday

I have to also say that today is my first day. A few issues so far (and I'm only up to lunch time!!) was what is a quick and easy thing to have for lunch? I settled on salad with a little cut up chicken breast, flax seed oil (not as bad as I thought it would be) and a little balsamic vinegar (not sure that was legal) If any of you "pros" out there have ideas for quick meals, good combinations, please share.
I know that I will also be missing my glass of red wine tonight!
I need to lose 30, and share the sentiments with many of you that it becomes an obsession and all you think about is how to get rid of the extra weight. I hope this helps, and maybe we can all support each other! Go Newbies Go!!!

I'm new to this plan also, Shenty; and I will be happy to buddy up with you and anyone else seeking buddy support. I also need to lose 60-70 pounds. I'm expecting to do it by or before March, 2008.
I'm waiting for my book to arrive also. Until then, I'm sticking primarily with fruits and veggies (fresh and canned on both). Tonight I plan on cutting up a few chicken strips and sauteeing them in olive oil and I may add a teensy bit of butter. Beyond that, I just add a little seasoning, garlic and green onion. I will lay it on a small bed of rice. I've made this before and it's very good. My husband loves it; so do my dogs! (Be sure to get some juice on that rice!) This may not be a legal recipe, but I think it's close enough. PS: Get creative with your spices and good oils and I'm sure you'll lose that weight! You are not alone!

just remember, rice, butter and olive oil are not allowed on phase 1. stick with your eggs, I like to make a spinache omelet for breakfast, add cayenne pepper to taste, and if your using your psyllium and cranberry juice and your hot lemon water, it will help you not feel hungry. I make sure I have that apple or orange about 10a and my fish or meat with lots of green veggies at lunch, then your apple or orange at about 3p and then your fish or meat with lots of greens at dinner. This is the best diet I have ever been on, I feel so good. I have stopped taking all my antidepressants, my sleep aids and my reflux meds. It did not happen right away, but when it hits you, you will know. Any help you need let me know. It is nice to have this site to ask questions

Another newbie here! Hi!! I just started today. I too opted for salad for lunch and instead of the reccomended Salmon meal that was in the book, I had tuna, added a pinch of garlic, some lemon juice and apple cider vinegar and lay it over a bed of baby spinach leaves.
I feel like I did well and stuck to the plan making substitutions as needed. By noonish I had a headache and now a stuffy nose. Must be detox withdrawl symptoms.
I really wasn't hungry but observed myself wanting to snack out of sheer boredom or habit but I was in control and followed the snack ideas.

have your apples or oranges as your snack in between meals. It makes a lot of difference

Hello all you buddies in Fat Flush land!I have been on this diet for about 10 days and I am already thinkin' about writing a cook book!. My husband has lost 11 pounds and I've lost nine. He has 35 pounds to lose and I have at least 50 pounds to drop. I can also tell you that in the past, I considered myself a "professional dieter".....This is absolutely the best diet I have ever been on!. I love going to the health food store and the organic food markets.Remember the key is NO PROCESSED FOOD! I hope that this way of thinking and cooking will be a life style fior me and my family. Good wishes to all of you.....I know we all CAN DO IT!!!!

I would not necessarily recommend 2000 calories. Use the calculator, to make sure. The RDI (recommend det daily intake) varies a LOT from person to person. If you feel that you want a faster weight loss ...

This is a great time to make your own cranwater while they are in season. I get a bag of cranberries for 99 cents here so you are saving bundles; it is however, a little time consuming.
