Smile I am going to take one day one pound at a time. Before I would think of how much weight I wanted to lose and how long it was going to take and that just set myself up to quit before I even got started. Maybe with a different approach I can do it this time.

Wonnetta,

Thats the right attitude...just keep reminding yourself everyday. Maybe even make yourself a goal page to look at everyday so you don't lose sight of your destination!

Good luck!

I just joined today too, and have about 150lbs more pounds to lose. Already lost 150 (down to 300). I don't think about the bigger picture--it is way too overwhelming. Some days I can't even think about the whole day--I focus on this moment, walking 5 min. instead of 3, eating this apple instead of a Big Mac. Tonight I went to the gym and walked an hour on the treadmill. I kept telling myself, every 5 min, that I was tired and wanted to get off. Then I told myself, just 1 min more. Sometimes it comes down to that--1 min. at a time. But you can do it!!! Every minute you are focusing on doing the right thing counts, so don't get discouraged!
