Is anyone here going through menopause? Feeling very bloated and weight is flying on.I'm 46 and I'm not sure if I should alter my points. I also recently quit smoking and menopause symptoms seem to be worse.Sad

Yup, I've got that spread trying to come on as well, although I am trying to curb it before it gets worse. I think I'm getting to know Perri Minipaws quite well.

I think there are quite few here that are in our shoes.

There's even a Group for us (although I havent joined because it at the time, it had a prompt that asked Why I wanted to join.) Who wants to say why they want to join a group about.... that?.

Personally I'm not the most informed person about medical issues and dont know a lot about what I'm facing nor do I have someone who's already been through it, to really talk to about it.

Anyway, try that group. I'm not quite bold enough yet.

Yes I am perimenopausal. It is the pits! YET, I just stated biidentical HRT about 3 weeks ago and am feeling wonderful, sleeping better, have better moods and my weight is not all over the place. I actually lost some weight and am eating more...I am on the bandwagon for bioidenticals now and have to admit I was totally skeptical when I first found out about them. The proof is in trying them for me though. Good luck!

Hi mywish,

You have more company than you think. And I once thought childbirth was HELL.

Hi Starlitwolf,

You mention a "Group" for menopausal women. Would you please share that info.

Many Thanks.

At 49, after a procedure for fibroids (UFE), I'm going through menopause but it is not as bad (for me at least) as the perimenopause stage. I'm big on herbal remedies and have utilized St. John's Wort for many years due to my awful mood swings. I also utilize supplements containing black cohosh and valerian to help with insomnia and overall bad attitude. But sometimes, nothing helps.

hi all yes there is a group on here for us "old ducks" lol! i think there are probably more going thru this s**t time than are in the group. I have tried natural, bioidentical and am now on hrt and love it. has helped with all the symptoms and i also lost some weight while on it. we are all different in what works, so do research and you may have to try a few things to find whats best for you. funny thing the comment about childbirth being bad, and what about pmt, then menpause rears its ugly head... i know that im def coming back as a man in next life!!!!!!!!!
