I don't count my carbs at all, but I do keep an eye on not going overboard in them because they tend to make me wanna eat more.
Try to avoid sugars and flour - that's a good starting point. Also, a lot believe in limiting "the four whites", IE potatoes, rice, pasta and bread.
Make sure you drink enoug water, make sure you get enough protein and fat.
I hope you find your way, Nicky. Also, make sure that you eat ENOUGH. Don't go way lower than your RDI.
