Are there low-carb microwave dinners?

I know that microwave dinners aren't the healthiest because of the added sodium, but they are so easy for me to eat at work and stay on my diet. They are perfectly portioned, if you buy the healthy ones, and most are pretty filling. Before I switched diets, it was a simple lunch to have a microwave dinner with a piece of fruit, and I could have it easily packed in the mornings to take to work.
However, since I've switched to lower carb, I haven't been able to find any that are low carb. Most have pasta, potatoes or rice in them. Are there any brands that have a low carb variety. If not, are there any dinners you know of that you can recommend for the low carb diet? Thanks! Very Happy

I think some of the bowls from Healthy Choice aren't as bad, but probably not the best on a low carb diet. I used to eat the frozen dinners for lunch every day because they are easy and tasty but when I started watching my carbs I cut them out because I couldn't believe how many carbs were in one dinner. Now, I bring my own lunch and it's just as filling with less carbs. I hope you find something that works for you!

I don't know what you view as low carb, but I posted a link yesterday for ConAgra foods where you can search all their products for exactly the criteria you want such as grams of carb, protein, calories etc. You can fine tune it using several choices at the same time as well. ConAgra handles the Banquet, Healthy Choice, and Marie Callenders foods among dozens of brands. I did a search for 'frozen' foods containing less than or equal to 25g of carbs and it gave me 3 meals. If you up the grams to 35, there are over 50 frozen meals to choose from just in those brands. Here is the link again http://www.conagrafoods.com/consumer/brands/search/advanced.jsp

Other companies may have a similar search, if not, they at least do have nutrition information for their products online.

Have you considered making extra when you cook dinner? I often double my favorite recipes and then save single portions using my Food Saver, which seals the meal and protects it from freezer burn.

Thanks for the help girls! I appreciate it. I hadn't went to the store yet to look, but I knew off the top of my head, every meal I'd bought before had pasta, rice or potatoes with it, and my online search revealed the same thing. Jenkie, the freexing extra is a great idea. I just might have to try that! Smile
