I just read this article and found it helpful in determining how much protein (and where to get it) I should be consuming to support my weight training workouts. I hope it helps others, too.

Excellent! Thanks for posting - I decided I am between the 0.5 and 0.6 range of activity. The calculation brings me somewhere between 98-118 grams of protein based on my current weight. Right now I shoot for a minimum of 100g of protein per day so I am right in the ballpark! This is good to know because some people say too much protein is stored as fat - but I see it as part of advancing metabolic processes for me as I think it takes the body more energy to metabolize protein. I also have learned I need carbs via fruits and veggies, and small amounts of grains.
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

I have a bodymedia fit and love it. It really helps keep you motivated and focused. It does allow you to sync with a heart rate monitor, but I find it has been a good tool regardless.
