I don't want to work out today. I can think of a million reasons why it's ok not to work out. It's a rainy Saturday, and we all need a day to be lazy. My body hurts. I'm too tired. I could go on and on. But I'm going to work out anyway.
Why? Because I have never regretted a workout. What I have regretted, repeatedly, is that one day I skipped, which led to 2 days, then a week, maybe even a month of no workouts. I've also regretted watching progress reverse itself after skipping workouts. I've regretted the steady decline in energy after missing multiple workouts.
Exercise doesn't always hae to be high energy, hour long sessions. Get up and go for a walk, or a bike ride. Put on music and dance with the kids. Just get moving. You won't regret it.
In the words of Nike, Just do it!
(some wonderful gal posted this on Spark. I printed and reposted. It helps me.)
If it's Manmade, it's going to hurt my body. If it's Earthmade, it's going to help me feel good, fit, healthy.

Exercising is bizarre to me. It's so hard to get up and do it - but after you did you are so glad you did! How can something I feel happy about be so hard to start? It's not even that painful really! The most painful thing is dragging myself over to the treadmill. After that, it all falls in line.

Actually, my favorite weather for walking/running/biking is when it´s raining. It´s probably because it cools down your body, so you can run/walk/bike longer without being over-exhausted.
