Thanks to this post, I, too, checked my D/L -- I am now
under
what it says in the weight section.
It says 255 - which is
also
what I have been telling the Red Cross for
years
. And, of course, has been a lie...
Back in 2006, this might have been only a lie by a few pounds.
Well, if you consider 27 a "few". Since I got married that year, I had to have my D/L changed (new name) and the date on that was one week after the last recorded weight I had kept for that year. So, if you think about it, it might have been a lie by about
29
lbs. I'm sure I could have gained 2 lbs from one week to the next...
<sigh>
But - at least on the
bright
side, I am lower now and I don't need to renew my D/L until October 2013 - so I'm SURE I'll not have to lie any more on that darn thing! ~grin~ Joyce
Oh, wait - just looked at it again. :- ( I will also have to adjust the height - I'm an inch shorter now than I used to be. Drat...can't do anything about that!!

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, about my own hopes of weighing a LOT less than my DL states, but also about how I'll feel when I still have a "fat" drivers license.
I had to renew my license in January, for the first time since I was about 17--I'm 25 now. My old license said I weighed 150 (LOL) which was a stretch even for 17-year-old me. My new license says I'm 240 (accurate, was weighed the day of the renewal). At the point I got the new license, I had already lost 21 lbs. I've now lost an additional 16 lbs. I can't wait til I look totally different from my DL picture
.

Great thread.
When I was 250 lbs my dl said I weight 202. I am rapidly approaching that. When I renew my license next year I think I'll change it to 170 and work to that goal!

LOL - in South Carolina, they retain the information you first put on it, and if they ever reissue they just reuse - We moved there in 98, left in 03 and went back in 07 - I just read this post and had to check what I had put down - 210 in 1999... LOL probably lied by 20lbs...
But I am only 9 lbs away from 210 now...
Goal 1 - 200lbs - reward - Go sky diving...
Goal 2 - 175lbs - reward - get my tattoo...
Goal 3 - enter a 5k before my 40th birthday - reward? Being able to say I did it!!

@Beatrixie - I think there is a "lost" drivers license in your near future! ~grin~
If mine wasn't going to renew next year, I would
gladly
pay the $14 (at least that is what it costs for a duplicate in my state) to get a new license.
Boy - if I ever move to SC, I am going to remember what ramman999 said!! LOL

Mine still says the weight I was when I was 16 (132) haha. I am not even close to that. I know that it would be impossible for me to get down to that weight after kids. I just got mine renewed and they didn't even ask me if it was correct, they just put it on for me

I checked my license and, in KY, they do not show your weight on your license. However, they do keep your old picture if you want, and I noticed, by the outfit I'm wearing, it must have been from when I renewed my license when I got married! Much skinnier face, so pretty...except for the braces, lol! Can't wait to see that face in the mirror again!

Our license doesn't have weight on it any longer, either. However, I still have the one from about 5 years ago when I was 80 lbs heavier and my hair was real short and I get a kick out of people's reactions when they see it "WOW! You've lost weight!"
I have to renew it this December and am hoping I can get them to let me keep the picture for inspiration. I NEVER wanted my picture taken when I was at my heaviest, so really have no accurate "before" except that head shot.

No weight on my MA license! I'll have to check my passport to see if it has weight, probably lied on that thing. Honestly, what do they expect?

Just got my driver's license renewed today. I look Egyptian. (Not that I'm displeased, it's actually a decent photo)
I got up and weighed myself this morning so I could
accurately
lie
about my weight by 10 lbs!

I still have my drivers license from when I first got my license at 17. It still says my mothers address, and still says I'm 125lbs. I wish!
My DL said 125 up until last year. lol I haven't been 125 in almost 7 years. At this point, I wouldn't want to get back down to 125 either. That's just too much weight lost for me. My husband would probably divorce me too.
I am hoping to lose another 19 lbs though. My license is due 1/31/13 so I am hoping to be able to put 143 or 145 on my new license!

My DL says 125. . .its from when I was 21 and I didn't lie, lol. When I got my license at 16 I weighed 95lbs and lied and said it was 100, I spent so much time trying to gain weight that I was super excited to say 125, the lady said you really don't have to change it! LOL I was proud of it I had worked hard to get a shape and look like a girl, not a 13 yo boy! What a difference 10+ years and 2 kids make! Now to just lose the weight to get closer to my DL weight!

I am in Ont. And we do not have weight on our drivers licences, but I was completing forms for a passport and there it was. I was tempted to lie.

I am also from Ontario - and although we don't have our weight on our license we do have our pictures My old one was taken week after I got married almost 6 years ago when I was at my lightest weight since high school (before babies 3 and 4) I cried last September when I had to renew my license and have another photo taken 80 lbs heavier!!!! I used to like to whip it out to remind my self that I wasn't always as big as I am right now - now I just have proof that I was really this fat boooo! As soon as I get to my goal weight I am paying to get a new picture!!!

Arizona sucks. Our licenses are good til we're 65. My weight on it shows about 6 lbs less than I am now. But when I first wrote it down, I think i was 20 over. Granted that was 40lbs from my first one, but oh well. I definitely will accidentally 'lose' my DL when I get down to 140, that's for sure!

You lost what?!
Ha ha ha, I can't wait to weigh in at the end of the month and see where I am. I imagine I'll be somewhere close to a sperm whale's brain.
