I am on a soup "diet", but I am trying to completely change my life style by banning all sugar, alcoholic/sparkling beverages and all oily foods from my diet and adding LOT MORE veggies and water! I want this to last for a very long time...a lifetime maybe?
Well, for now I am following my awsome homemade soup diet and it feels great. I am not hungry, not dizzy, or anything. Only downside is sometimes I tend to have a "paper tongue" like I call it (feels like I just ate a peace of paper!). Besides the soup I drink a lot of water natural or flavoured with fresh mint leaves from my garden, lime ginger and lime zest.
Any soup lovers to do this together or who already did this?
Thank you!

Soup is one of the oldest forms of human cuisine. It probably started with someone asking themselves the question "How do I make the most of this meat, these vegetables, and these herbs that I spent all day gathering?". Personally I'm on the Atkins diet, and I find it curious that Atkins makes few mention of various soups and stews (likely because a lot of stews and soups include starchy vegetables or flour). However, there is so much to enjoy. Good for you Gina! The best diet plan in the world is: the one that works for you.

I absolutely love soups. So easy. We make big pots on a Sunday afternoon, enough to cover our lunches through the work week. You'll find a LOT of soup recipes on the Vegan and Vegetarian food blogs. I eat a mostly vegan diet, but the soups are easily adaptable for a meat eater (just add chicken or beef or turkey, or whatever takes your fancy!)
Here are three of my favorites to get you started:

(scroll down for the Split Pea soup).

The last soup (the Ethiopian one) comes from one of my absolute favorite blogs:
http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/
The author is super focused on using the smallest amount of oil in all of her recipes, and she includes nutritional info for all of her recipes, so this should be good for your 'low oil' focus.
Good luck!!!

I definitely like eating soup for weight loss. However, I find that premade soup has SO much sodium. It ends up making me so bloated...
