Ok, so I've been doing the Insanity workout CDs for 3.5 weeks and have only lost 3 lbs. My body Shape is defiantly changing but the scale stays about the same. It's discouraging to say the least. Any advice?

You may be building muscle and losing fat. Muscle is more dense than fat, so your body will be getting smaller even if you aren't dropping pounds.

Exactly as said above. The scale is a nice way to HELP monitor progress, but the main thing that you should be going by is the mirror. Many things influence weight, not just the amount of fat that you have eg. food intake, water retention, muscle mass...ect. If you are looking better and your calories are lower than what you are burning, then that is what is important.
Also, if you are working out, make sure to eat plenty of protein. But do watch out for low blood sugar as well which can kick off hunger spikes. If you feel super hungry don't be afraid to eat/drink some sugar (not to excess).
I hope that helps!

In my opinion the scale is just one tool you should be using. For me I knew that I was losing weight by stepping on the scale BUT it really started to hit home when I realized I was having to pull my belt tighter and tighter each week.

First day thoughts
It's definitely possible. I gained a lot of weight with each of my pregnancies. My youngest is 9 months and in the past 7 months I've lost almost 50 lbs through diet and exercise.
