Just had a friend of facebook post a quote "Live is uncertain. Eat dessert first."

I replied "Live is uncertain -- you better exercise before you eat that dessert."

To me, those are the words that I live by. Don't live to eat -- eat to live.

What other pearls of wisdom have you learned on your weight loss journey?

I agree with Heidijoy, I try to eat the foods that I have the most trouble getting enough of first (veggies) and then if I am still hungry, go for the rest but quit when I feel full and try to eat slowly so my body has a chance to tell me when I am full before I eat too much.
