Atkins Bars miscalculating net carbs on food entry

I have tried to add the atkins bars to my food entries, but the net carbs I'm getting on the website here are way different than the ones on the box.

My settings are set to show net carbs.

Thoughts?

Can you PLEASE tell me how to set preferences to show net carbs?? I've been trying to figure it out and just can't seem to find preferences!!!! Frustrated!!! Thank you

Rmf1211, go your fatsecret page and click on account settings on the right side. One of the settings at the bottom is Food Diary Nutrition Facts. You can choose what nutrition facts are shown.

Skyvixen, you can edit the foods that are entered into the database. I've done it a few times because what was here on FS and what was on the package didn't match. Most of the foods can be edited. When you look at the food in the database on the left under the nutrition facts, if available, there will be the option to edit the food. From there you can update the different numbers from the package.

the issue with Atkins bars (& many other low carb products) is they have sugar alcohols. if you read the nutrition label it will show total carbs, fiber & sugar alcohols. the net carb label on the front is minus both of those, but fatsecret only subtracts fiber. it doesn't have a field to subtract sugar alcohols.

Shanelle05 THANK U!!!! I finally got it! Wonderful to have an app that can calculate net carbs fairly easily!!! When I did Atkins 10 years ago the website was so much more user friendly than now. Who would have thought!?!?
