Has anyone tried Jillian Michael's "30 DAY SHRED"? I just started the program and was wondering if it will bring good results and how fast.

Hi, I've been doing this for 8days, I took my body measurements at the start and so far I have not lost either weight or inches....but...I feel better in myself and the hubby has noticed I "hold" myself better, I'm hoping it's just going to take me a while to sort myself out

I read on one website that if you do it twice a day it will speed up the process and maximize your results. It kills me to do it once a day much less twice a day! lol

It depends on what your goals are. If your goal is to lose body fat, what matters the most is still a calorie deficit. Strenuous cardio will burn a fair amount of calories, but if you out-eat what you burn, you won't see progress on the scale.
If your goal is to improve endurance and cardiovascular fitness, it's likely effective.
If your goal is to increase strength or muscle mass, this is unlikely. There may be minor and modest gains in strength if you're an untrained beginner, but unless progressive overload is involved, the progress won't be significant.

I've done all of the 30 day shred and if you combine it with eating healthy and the appropriate amount of calories you WILL lose weight. I do it once a day, six days a week and have lost almost 50 pounds (I did other exercise regimes besides shred but I did shred the most and the others were mostly other Jillian workouts)

I was doing 30 Day Shred a couple of months ago-- I had really good results losing inches and looked much more toned, but I didn't lose much weight. I think if I'd been better at my calorie intake I could've lost more weight though. Whew, is it hard though-- it's a really great workout!
